Position Summary 

We’re seeking a Level 2 IT Systems & Network Engineer with MSP experience to provide advanced support and proactive management of client environments. You’ll work across Microsoft cloud services, Windows Server infrastructure, and UniFi networking, with a strong focus on Microsoft 365 security. This role requires hands-on troubleshooting, excellent documentation, and the ability to manage multiple client environments in a fast-paced MSP setting. 

Responsibilities 

• Administer and troubleshoot Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD) and on-premises Active Directory  

• Manage user accounts, security groups, and Group Policy Objects (GPOs)  

• Maintain and troubleshoot Azure AD Connect / Entra ID Connect synchronization  

• Administer Windows Server 2012-2019+ environments, including DNS, DHCP, and file/print services  

• Perform updates, patching, and performance optimization  

• Support virtualization platforms (Hyper-V or VMware)  

• Implement and maintain backup and disaster recovery systems  

• Manage Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, and OneDrive  

• Administer Microsoft Intune for device management and compliance policies  

• Configure and monitor Defender for Office 365 (email security, phishing protection)  

• Administer Defender for Endpoint (endpoint detection and response)  

• Configure and enforce security best practices — MFA, Conditional Access, compliance policies, and threat protection  

• Monitor security alerts and remediate incidents promptly  

• Deploy, configure, and manage UniFi Network Controllers (cloud or on-prem)

• Configure switches, routers, firewalls, and wireless access points  

• Implement VLANs, SSIDs, VPNs, and network security segmentation  

• Troubleshoot and resolve connectivity and performance issues  

• Work with PSA and RMM tools for ticketing, remote support, monitoring, and patch management  

• Halo PSA and NinjaRMM experience a plus  

• Document all work clearly in PSA systems and keep client asset inventories accurate  

• Balance reactive support with proactive maintenance and project tasks  

• Support endpoint security operations using EDR/MDR platforms  

• Microsoft Purview (compliance, retention, and data protection basics)  

• Support backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity (BCDR) solutions:  

• Backup monitoring and verification  

• Restore testing  

• Incident support during outages  

• Assist with technical projects:  

• Cloud and Microsoft 365 migrations  

• Security tool deployments 

Requirements (Must-Have) 

• Minimum 2-3 years in an “Managed Service Provider (MSP) environment” or "Managed Security Services Provider (MSSP)" (must-have)  

• Strong experience with Microsoft Entra ID and Active Directory  

• Hands-on with Windows Server (2012-2019+) and core services  

• Proficient in Microsoft 365 administration with a security focus  

• Experience with Defender for Office 365 and Defender for Endpoint  

• Strong UniFi network management skills (switches, firewalls, wireless, VLANs, VPNs)  

• Proficiency with PSA/RMM tools (Halo PSA, NinjaRMM preferred)  

• Solid understanding of networking fundamentals: VLANs, DNS, DHCP, IP addressing, VPNs, firewalls

• Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and client communication skills  

• English Level: C1 - Advance / C2 - Proficient (Near-Native)  

• Practical experience with Microsoft Azure  

• Experience working with EDR and MDR platforms 

Technical Skills (Nice to have) 

• PowerShell scripting for automation  

• Experience with compliance frameworks (HIPAA, SOC 2, etc.)  

• Relevant certifications: Microsoft Certified: Security Administrator, CompTIA Network+/Security+, UniFi UEWA/UBWA  

• Experience with HaloPSA  

• Experience with NinjaOne (NinjaRMM)  

• Familiarity with Zero Trust and Microsoft security best practices  

• Experience supporting hybrid and cloud-first environments
