Job Title: Dean of Information Technology Academic Programs

Position Requires Relocation to Kuwait

Reports To: Vice President for Academic Affairs

Location: Kuwait City, Kuwait

Job Purpose

Provide strategic academic leadership for all IT-related programs at AIU, ensuring that curricula, faculty, and learning outcomes meet international standards and respond to current and emerging trends in the technology industry. The Dean will foster innovation, partnerships, and continuous improvement to position AIU as a regional leader in technology education.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design, review, and accreditation of IT programs to ensure academic quality and global relevance.
• Collaborate with faculty and industry experts to integrate emerging technologies and applied learning.
• Develop new programs and credentials in high-demand fields such as AI, cybersecurity, and cloud computing.
• Align curricula with technology trends and workforce needs to enhance student outcomes.
• Build partnerships with industry and government to expand research, internships, and job opportunities.
• Benchmark leading universities to sustain competitive and innovative offerings.
• Expand executive and private training programs using modern digital learning tools.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Strong leadership and strategic management abilities within higher education.
• Proven record of curriculum development and program accreditation in IT disciplines.
• Expertise in emerging technologies such as AI, cybersecurity, cloud computing, and data science.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate with faculty, industry partners, and government stakeholders.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

Education and Experience

• PhD in Computer Science, Information Technology, Education, or a related field.
• Experience in both academia and the IT industry, demonstrating the ability to bridge theory and practice.
• Track record in developing or managing accredited IT programs.
• Experience in leadership roles within higher education preferred.
