We are looking for an experienced Senior Android Developer to lead the development and maintenance of our Android applications. This is a full remote position, offering you the flexibility to work from anywhere while contributing to cutting-edge mobile projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain high-performance, reusable, and reliable Java/Kotlin code for Android applications
- Lead the entire app lifecycle from concept and design to testing, release, and support
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features
- Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency
- Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications
- Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs
- Help maintain code quality, organization, and automatization
Requirements:
- 5+ years of Android development experience
- Strong knowledge of Android SDK, different versions of Android, and how to deal with different screen sizes
- Profound understanding of Kotlin and Java
- Experience with offline storage, threading, and performance tuning
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs to connect Android applications to back-end services
- Strong understanding of the full mobile development life cycle
- Familiarity with cloud message APIs and push notifications
- Knowledge of the open-source Android ecosystem and libraries
- Understanding of Google's design principles and interface guidelines
- Proficient understanding of code versioning tools (such as Git)
- Experience with Agile development methodologies
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with Android Jetpack components
- Knowledge of Android security best practices
- Familiarity with continuous integration and delivery processes
- Experience with test-driven development
