The Role We are seeking a Business Operations professional to manage the operational backbone of the company. You will take over finance, legal/security, and people operations from the current Head of Operations as the company scales post-Series A.
This is not a founding role; existing systems are already in place. You will own these functions end-to-end and grow into the Head of Operations role as the team expands.
Key Responsibilities
- Finance Management: Oversee runway tracking, spend management, tax compliance, and cost efficiency.
- Procurement & Contracts: Manage the procurement loop, including MSAs, vendor contracts, and security contracts, coordinating with legal counsel.
- Security & Legal: Drive customer security reviews to facilitate deal closure and handle legal/compliance matters such as office agreements and new-hire documentation.
- People Operations: Manage payroll, HR compliance, and serve as the first point of contact for employee matters.

Required Qualifications
- 2–5 years of experience in business operations, finance, or chief of staff roles within a startup environment.
- Hands-on experience with financial tasks, including runway tracking, spend management, and taxes.
- Practical exposure to legal and security matters, including procurement, MSAs, and vendor or security contracts.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to handle sensitive employee and stakeholder matters.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, in-person startup culture.
- Based in San Francisco or willing to relocate (relocation bonus available).
- Must have active US work authorization. Visa transfers are accepted; no new sponsorship is available.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in people operations (payroll, HR compliance).
- Consulting background (MBB/Accenture) with demonstrated deal ownership.
- Exposure to due diligence or M&A processes.
- Experience in high-growth startups.
