About The Role

We are seeking a skilled and motivated JavaScript Developer to join our team on a contractual basis. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in modernizing our internal productivity and scheduling applications by replacing legacy ColdFusion systems with modern, efficient, and user-friendly solutions built using JavaScript and related front-end technologies. This role offers an exciting opportunity to directly impact our department’s workflow and operational efficiency by designing, developing, and deploying innovative web-based applications. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with stakeholders, including department staff and IT personnel, to understand existing functionalities, gather requirements, and deliver scalable solutions that meet business needs. This position is fully remote, providing flexibility and the chance to work in a dynamic, technology-driven environment.

Qualifications

Required:

• Proven experience as a JavaScript Developer with a strong portfolio of web application projects.
• Solid understanding of core JavaScript concepts and adherence to modern ECMAScript standards.
• Experience with at least one modern JavaScript front-end framework or library such as React, Angular, or Vue.js.
• Proficiency in HTML5 and CSS3 for creating responsive and accessible user interfaces.
• Experience working with asynchronous programming and integrating with APIs (RESTful or similar).
• Familiarity with version control systems, especially Git.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Ability to work independently, manage tasks efficiently, and meet deadlines as a contractor.
