VizCo AI is building the infrastructure layer for securing AI workflows in regulated industries.

We’re an early-stage startup backed by NextGen Ventures, Entrepreneurs First, and Transpose Platforms, and we’re looking for a rare kind of engineer: an exceptional full-stack builder with real cloud depth and clear leadership upside. Someone who wants to be early, close to the founders, deep in the code, and instrumental in shaping both the product and the engineering team from day one.

This is a founding role. You won’t be joining a machine. You’ll be helping build it.

As a Founding Engineer, you’ll help define the technical foundation of the company: product architecture, infrastructure, engineering standards, and the way we ship. You’ll work directly with the founders, move quickly on important problems, and have the chance to grow into a broader technical leadership role as the company scales.

What you’ll do

• Build core product and platform features end to end across frontend and backend
• Work closely with the founders to turn product ideas into production systems
• Design, deploy, and operate systems in an Azure-centric environment
• Improve architecture, security, reliability, observability, and scalability

• Help establish the engineering bar, technical culture, and hiring standard for the team we build around you

What we’re looking for

• Deep expertise in TypeScript and Python
• Strong full-stack engineering ability across backend and frontend systems
• Strong hands-on cloud infrastructure experience, with the ability to design, deploy, and operate production systems in private cloud environments
• Strong experience with Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD, scaling, reliability, observability, and modern deployment practices
• Strong product and engineering judgment
• High ownership, strong execution, and comfort operating in ambiguity
• Excitement about working in person in San Francisco

Strongly preferred

• Hands-on, production-level experience with Microsoft Azure
• Experience working in Azure-first or Microsoft-cloud-heavy environments
• Background in strong engineering environments such as Microsoft, Google, or other large-scale enterprise technology companies
• Experience building in small teams, startup environments, or other high-ownership settings
• Familiarity with agentic workflows, orchestration, tool use, evals, or production AI systems
• Evidence of unconventional, original problem-solving, for example hackathon wins, side projects, open-source work, or other proof of out-of-the-box thinking

What success looks like

First 30 days

You get fully familiar with the product, codebase, Azure environment, infrastructure, and development workflow. You harden deployment fundamentals and begin contributing meaningful improvements.

30-90 days

You own and ship meaningful new product features, improve architecture and scalability, and start raising the engineering bar through strong technical judgment, execution, and ownership.
