About The Role

The Content Strategist at Directive Consulting is a vital client-facing position responsible for managing day-to-day deliverables, developing tailored client strategies, and facilitating clear communication between clients and internal teams. This role primarily involves working with enterprise-level clients, requiring a deep understanding of the agency’s service lines and their influence on broader business objectives. The Strategist acts as a trusted advisor, leveraging industry best practices and data-driven insights to craft and optimize marketing strategies that align with client goals. Internally titled Account Strategist, Content & SEO, this role demands a proactive approach to project management, strategic planning, and relationship building. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, industry experience, and a passion for digital marketing, particularly in SEO and content marketing, to drive measurable results and foster long-term client partnerships.

Qualifications

  • Proven success in implementing SEO strategies, including keyword research, on-page optimization, and link building
  • Experience analyzing website traffic and SEO metrics using tools like Google Analytics, SEMRush, Ahrefs, and Google Search Console
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to manage client relationships effectively
  • Excellent organizational, project management, and time management abilities
  • Agency experience, particularly in B2B tech and SaaS sectors
  • Genuine enthusiasm for digital marketing, SEO, and content development
  • Ability to stay current with industry trends, including AI and automation enhancements
  • Experience with project management tools such as Asana
  • Capability to analyze data and set strategic goals using multiple data sources like CRM, Google Analytics, and reporting tools

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement customized marketing strategies based on client goals and industry best practices
  • Utilize data from various sources to set measurable objectives and optimize ongoing campaigns
  • Collaborate closely with Associate Directors, content writers, designers, and project managers to ensure timely execution of strategies
  • Use project management tools such as Asana to delegate tasks, monitor progress, and ensure deadlines are met
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their business on a human level and proactively communicating progress and insights
  • Provide regular reporting on strategy performance through bi-weekly meetings, monthly, quarterly, and bi-annual reviews
  • Identify opportunities for client growth through upselling, cross-selling, and referrals
  • Monitor industry trends and incorporate new tools and techniques to enhance campaign effectiveness
  • Address and resolve any roadblocks or strategic adjustments needed to meet client objectives
