We're working with a global leader in national security and mission-critical technology on this exciting opportunity. We are seeking a proactive Systems Administrator to champion the digital infrastructure behind essential homeland security operations, managing a high-performance environment built on RHEL, VMware, and cutting-edge Azure cloud migrations.

This isn't just about keeping the lights on; it’s about architecting technical solutions that outpace the status quo. You will bridge the gap between complex hardware-software integration and high-stakes operational reliability in a multi-tiered Java/JBoss environment.

The Role

• Lead the management, operations, and maintenance of SASS server, network, and database environments to ensure mission-critical uptime.

• Drive the evolution of a highly virtualized ecosystem running VMware ESX, RedHat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), and Windows Server.

• Support the high-profile migration of on-premise infrastructure to an IaaS deployment within the Government Azure cloud.

• Maintain a robust networking stack featuring Palo Alto firewalls, Cisco Catalyst switches, and MDS fiber switches.

• Execute complex system testing, quality assurance, and technical management for Oracle 19c and MS SQL Server databases.

What You'll Need

• At least 3 years of hands-on experience managing enterprise-level Linux/Unix server systems and virtualized environments.

• Proven expertise in RHEL administration, including performance tuning, system hardening, and automation tools.

• Deep technical knowledge of NIST 800-53 security requirements, STIG compliance, and vulnerability scanning tools.

• Experience with modern data center tech stacks including Dell hardware, JBoss Application Servers, and Active Directory.

• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to navigate Jira and Confluence for incident management and documentation.
