Senior Highways Engineer

Due to our continuing expansion, we currently have an opportunity for a Senior Highways Engineer on multi-disciplinary offshore executed projects from Bangalore, India

Working in a multidisciplinary team of designers and engineers providing a professional design service to our clients, this is an ideal opportunity for individuals looking to develop their international experience with a world-renowned consultant.

Your role

• Qualified Graduate Degree in Civil Engineering & Masters in Transportation Engineering from a reputed College
• Have relevant experience in the region of around 8 to 12 years in consultancy business working on Highways and related features.
• Experienced user of Open Roads Design, Civil 3D, MicroStation, AutoCAD.
• Experience of working on TAC, AASHTO, DMRB,
• Experience implementing quality standards and procedures.
• A very good knowledge of working in all applications of MS Office.
• Good verbal and written communication skills in English & French (desirable). Evidence of having successfully delivered highway projects.
• Be able to lead/guide a small team in project delivery.
• Expert in the use of Civil 3D / ORD design software and AutoCAD / MicroStation .
• Experience of the design of grade separated junctions.
• Experience of the design of pipe drainage networks .
• Working knowledge of Canadian highway design standards.
  
  

About You

You will be an Engineer within the Highways team carrying out the design and checking of a range of elements associated with highway projects. You will be responsible for:

• Project based supervision of designers and drafting staff.
• Maintaining technical quality standards and mentoring junior designers
• Delivering projects to time and budget
• Liaising with Canada/US/UK/ME based customers in a responsive and client focused manner
• Be highly self-motivated and ambitious.
• Be able to lead a small team.
• Have a track record of technical achievement and client satisfaction within the highways and bridges industry.
• Be able to work with minimal supervision.
• Have the ability to adapt to different cultures and working environments to build rapport with customers.
• Be able to build excellent working relationships with colleagues and clients.
• Have the experience of using written and spoken English within a business environment.
• The position is to be based in Bangalore.
