Position

Searching for a great Systems Engineer or Systems Architect to join our team of engineers. You will act as an escalation point for level 2 and 3 generalists and junior systems engineers, and work both independently and with other IT professionals and systems engineers to complete projects. You should be adaptable, able to jump into an environment and quickly understand what must be done. This role requires strong systems architecting and engineering experience; networking experience is a plus.


Responsibilities

  • Architect, configure, deploy, troubleshoot, and manage IT systems such as VMWare infrastructure, Windows Servers, web servers, Active Directory, O365, and storage systems
  • Effectively troubleshoot IT-related issues in multiple unique client environments
  • Analyze system environments and provide solutions for improvement and best practices
  • Monitor performance and maintain systems according to requirements
  • Provide feasibility and schedule estimates in presales calls
  • Participate in product research and implementation
  • Provide training to technicians and other members of the team
  • Plan and execute system projects
  • Manage systems access
  • Stay up-to-date with industry tools and practices, and upgrade systems with new releases
  • Be available for occasional migrations and other needs after-hours
  • Take on other responsibilities as needed


Preferred Skills and Experience:

  • 4+ years of experience as a senior systems engineer or architect
  • 8+ years of systems engineering experience
  • Experience working in an MSP, data center, and/or other multi-tenant environments
  • Virtual Desktop Infrastructure and management of environments such as MS Remote Desktop Services of 75+ users
  • VMware (vSphere, ESXi, vCenter)
  • Setting up and administering Active Directory, Group Policies, Exchange, Windows DFS/ADFS
  • TrueNAS
  • vSAN
  • Security fabrics including EDR and DNS
  • Networking concepts such as VLANs
  • Various Microsoft operating systems and platforms


Additional Preferred Qualifications:

  • Resourcefulness and problem-solving aptitude
  • Knowledge of system security
  • Knowledge of backup/recovery systems
  • Experience working with software licensing and software partners
  • Experience working with different software/hardware vendor providers


The salary for this position is expected to range between $72,800 and $107,500 per year, and will be determined by factors including relevant knowledge, relevant experience, and geographic location.
