Network Engineer III (Remote Overnight Shift)

We are hiring for Network Engineer III (Remote | Overnight Shift)

Location: Fully Remote (U.S. – Nationwide)

Shift: Overnight (12:00 AM – 5:00 AM maintenance window, Mon–Fri)

Role Overview

We are looking for a highly detail-oriented Network Engineer III to support a large-scale, multi-vendor nationwide network. This role focuses on network configuration, upgrades, and maintenance during overnight windows, ensuring accuracy and zero-impact changes.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform network configuration changes and OS upgrades (Cisco, Juniper, Nokia)
• Execute changes during overnight maintenance windows
• Support VXLAN to eNSE platform transition (SDN/virtualized network)
• Configure and troubleshoot routers, switches, and circuits
• Use automation tools like Python, NSO, DCNM, Nuage

• Conduct pre/post checks to ensure network stability
• Review and execute MOPs (Method of Procedures)
• Collaborate with engineering, operations, and field teams

Must-Have Skills

• Strong experience with Cisco, Juniper, Nokia devices
• Deep understanding of MPLS, BGP, OSPF, L2/L3 VPNs, IPv4/IPv6
• Hands-on CLI experience (IOS, XR, NX-OS, JunOS)
• Experience with Layer 1–3 networking & troubleshooting
• Knowledge of VXLAN, spine-leaf architecture, VRFs
• Ability to work overnight shifts independently

• CCNA / CCNP certification
• Experience with cloud (AWS, Azure, OpenStack)
