Cloud Application Developer

In this role, you will be an integral part of a high-performing Agile/DevSecOps team driving modernization initiatives. You will help decompose legacy applications into containerized solutions, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and deliver robust cloud-based applications. This position emphasizes innovation, efficiency, and adaptability in a remote work environment, allowing you to contribute meaningfully to both development and operational goals. You will engage with the latest cloud technologies, frameworks, and tools, while ensuring high-quality, secure, and scalable solutions. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with strong communication skills, capable of working independently, yet thrives in collaborative, fast-paced settings. Your work will directly support mission-critical projects and modernize existing systems for long-term impact.

Accountabilities

• Decompose and modernize legacy applications into containerized cloud solutions
• Collaborate with team members, including clients, to demo and deliver solutions in short sprint cycles
• Develop, test, and maintain applications using Java, NodeJS, Python, and modern frameworks
• Ensure the quality, reliability, and scalability of solutions through automated testing and code reviews
• Work independently with minimal supervision while actively participating in team discussions and Agile ceremonies
• Adapt quickly to evolving requirements, technologies, and priorities
• Perform additional duties as assigned to support team and project goals
  
  
  

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a STEM field (Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics) or equivalent industry experience
• Minimum 3 years of demonstrated cloud development experience in AWS, federal or commercial
• Proficiency with programming languages: Java, NodeJS, Python
• Experience with frameworks, tools, and platforms including Springboot/Quarkus, React/Angular, Kubernetes, GitLab, Docker, Jira, Confluence, Maven, Junit, Selenium, JBoss, Oracle Database, Postgres
• Active Secret Clearance
• Self-starter with excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to learn quickly and adapt in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment
• Desired: Security+ certification and relevant Operating System certification
