Elektrilevi supplies electricity to almost all households and companies in Estonia. Our role as a network operator is to ensure the constant supply of electricity to our customers. We maintain and repair almost 61,000 kilometres of power lines and more than 24,000 substations. We have almost 500,000 customers across Estonia. We help to develop solutions for tomorrow's sustainable energy grid. Estonia is leading the way in smart energy solutions: - first nationwide EV fast charging network - first nationwide full roll-out of smart metering project - small size off-grid solutions for rural areas - large scale off-grid solutions for energy island - Smart City solutions: smart street lighting and parking - Renewable energy challenges for different energy sector groups - VPP and storage simulation and testing Estonia is the best place for testing smart grid solutions in different climatic and grid conditions Smart Grid Development Centre Elektrilevi’s Smart Grid Development Centre is focused on developing and testing the next generation of technologies and solutions for tomorrow’s grid needs. The main aim is to develop and prove cost effective and flexible solutions for integrating the distributed generation of energy to the network. The organisation partnerships with technology providers, universities, utilities and other interested parties.
