Job Description
The primary goal of the project is the modernization, maintenance and development of an eCommerce platform for a big US-based retail company, serving millions of omnichannel customers each week.
Solutions are delivered by several Product Teams focused on different domains - Customer, Loyalty, Search and Browse, Data Integration, Cart.
Current overriding priorities are new brands onboarding, re-architecture, database migrations, migration of microservices to a unified cloud-native solution without any disruption to business.
Responsibilities:
We are looking for a Database Administrator with experience of managing PostgreSQL in the cloud, who can help to tune performance of client platform:
- Quickly onboard to Customer's processes
- Performance tuning on request
- DBA work with Incident tickets
- Collaborate with other teams and client to find the best solutions
Mandatory Skills Description:
Must have: strong DBA experience, specifically with Azure and Postgres on Azure
• Readiness to work until 9.00 pm CET (no need to do overtimes);
• Strong DBA experience
• Experience of work with Azure
• Excellent skills in Postgres tuning with and without tools and plugins / extensions
• Strong experience managing PostgreSQL in Azure
• Advanced knowledge of SQL Queries, Joins, functions and procedures
• Networking, Infra components, Postgres settings and flags
• Monitoring tools and usage of analyzing workloads and query benchmark measurements for applications
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
Nice-to-Have Skills Description:
• Experience with Azure Management Instance and familiarity with ADF
• Certifications in AWS, GCP, or Azure database management (official proof or references are required)
• DevOps and GitHub
• Experience of work in distributed teams, with US customers
