Job Description

Strive (Nasdaq: ASST) is a structured finance company focused on disciplined capital allocation and long-term value creation. We were built on three core principles: an unapologetic embrace of free-market capitalism, meritocracy, and innovation. For these reasons, we have strategically adopted Bitcoin as our hurdle rate for capital deployment to maximize long-term value for shareholders. Relative to a traditional depreciating fiat-denominated benchmark, implementing a bitcoin hurdle rate establishes a higher level of accountability and strategic investment discipline, since our decisions are measured against an asset that we believe will appreciate over time.

Strive continues to uphold these principles through its Bitcoin treasury which launched in September 2025 with roughly 5,800 BTC, we have more than tripled that position to over 20,000 BTC, becoming the 7th-largest publicly traded Bitcoin treasury company with market-leading Bitcoin.

Strive is the leader in debt-free amplification. We have no debt, no margin requirements, and no encumbered Bitcoin, and we have established a record of industry-leading achievements:

  • 1st corporation to pay daily dividends (Nasdaq: SATA), The Daily Dividend Companyâ„¢
  • 1st Bitcoin treasury company with preferred equity-only amplification
  • 1st Bitcoin treasury company to establish a USD dividend reserve
  • 1st-ever acquisition of a Bitcoin treasury company

About the Role

Strive is hiring a Director, Enterprise Technology to build and lead a new technology function. Reporting to the Vice President of Strategic Finance, this hands-on role has two core responsibilities: running secure, reliable day-to-day technology operations for a public company with significant Bitcoin reserves, and identifying, evaluating, and deploying new technologies that move Strive’s operations forward.

We are heavy users of leading AI models and are using AI to push the company and its offerings forward. This role puts you at the center of that effort. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced startup environment, is comfortable operating with urgency in a high-intensity environment including supporting critical incidents outside standard hours when needed and is eager to use AI and emerging technology to keep Strive on the cutting edge.

This is a remote role with periodic travel to Strive’s Dallas headquarters.

Core Responsibilities

Core IT, Security & MSP Management

  • Own Strive’s technology environment and set the standards our MSP delivers against (policy, priorities, and accountability for their work) while staying hands-on where the risk warrants it.
  • Work with trusted partners to administer our cybersecurity program across cloud, endpoint, email, and network: endpoint and email protection, email authentication and mail-flow enforcement (SPF, DKIM, DMARC), centralized logging and SIEM monitoring, and patch and vulnerability management. Commission recurring penetration tests and security-maturity reviews, and serve as our point of contact for incidents, audits, and third-party due diligence.
  • Control who has access to what: SSO and MFA, privileged and emergency-access accounts, least privilege and recurring access reviews, and manage centralized onboarding and offboarding.
  • Keep a remote-first company productive and well managed: Microsoft 365 administration and a collaboration structure that streamlines work without opening access.
  • Keep the infrastructure resilient: DNS, certificates, firewalls, VPN, cloud environments, and the Dallas headquarters network and prove backups actually restore through regular recovery testing.

SOX & IT Compliance

  • Own SOX IT general controls, logical access, change management, system administration, and the evidence financial audits and regulatory examinations require, while supporting future SOC 2 readiness.
  • Standardize processes so the work itself generates that evidence, rather than making documentation a separate exercise after the fact.
  • Implement IT and cybersecurity policies across the company and monitor adherence, partnering with Legal, Compliance, and Finance to meet our obligations as a public company and SEC-registered investment adviser.
  • Manage data protection and asset governance: DLP, sensitivity labels, retention policies, eDiscovery, and an accurate inventory of devices, software, and licenses.

Technology Leadership & Development. Why You’ll Want This Job.

The responsibilities above are how you earn trust. This is where you use that trust to build, experiment, and move the company forward.

  • Ship what we build. Strive develops internal applications with AI coding tools, and you are the gate between build and production. Security-reviewing generated code and deploying it within our approved stack.
  • Bring enough hands-on coding experience to read and judge work you did not write, and the confidence to ship it rather than rebuild it.
  • Build the path that makes shipping fast. Stand up the tooling, environments, and deployment guardrails that let you go from idea to production quickly; letting others across the company build and release safely without every project routing through you.
  • Champion AI across the company: design the environments and working practices that let people use the best available models productively without creating unnecessary risk and raise the whole team’s effectiveness through what you bring.
  • Scout, pilot, and roll out emerging technology that improves how Strive operates, and build it yourself where that is faster, using lightweight internal tools, scripting, and APIs to take repetitive work off the company’s plate.

Our environment includes Microsoft 365 E5, Okta and Entra, Jamf and Intune, Cloudflare, AWS, modern web infrastructure, and leading AI development tools.

Qualifications

Required

  • Typically, 5+ years of progressive experience in IT and/or cybersecurity, with a mix of strategic leadership and hands-on execution.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent practical experience.
  • Demonstrated experience building or rebuilding IT, security, compliance, or technology programs and infrastructure.
  • Experience operating in a regulated environment; financial services, asset management, fintech, healthcare, or public-company experience is especially relevant.
  • Familiarity with SOX IT general controls, audit documentation, logical access, and change-management requirements.
  • Ability to communicate technical risks, priorities, and tradeoffs to finance leadership and other nontechnical stakeholders in plain language.
  • Ability and willingness to own end-user support, helpdesk operations, and ticket queues, even when day-to-day execution is delegated.
  • Willingness to travel periodically as needed.
  • Interested in Bitcoin.

Preferred

  • Strong interest in leveraging AI and experience applying it to build new solutions and radically transform ways of operating a business.
  • Prior experience at a publicly traded financial services company.
  • Experience deploying and securing web applications, internal tools, and other public-facing technology.
  • Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or equivalent.
  • Experience supporting SOC 2, SEC, financial-statement, or other regulatory audits and examinations.
  • Experience creating or materially revising IT and cybersecurity policies.
