Note: Cypress experience is a must-have. We are looking for someone who can contribute immediately without ramp-up time.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as a Cypress subject matter expert and lead automation efforts using BDD frameworks
- Build, execute, and maintain automated test suites for client-server, web applications, and web services
- Design detailed test plans and test cases based on business requirements and technical specifications
- Evaluate test requirements and determine appropriate coverage through automation
- Collaborate closely with developers, QA, and product teams to ensure high-quality solutions
- Maintain clear documentation for automation architecture, test scripts, and modifications
- Identify areas for automation and process improvements to drive efficiency and scalability
- Incorporate security considerations into daily responsibilities
- Support Agile development cycles and contribute to team discussions and continuous improvement
Required Qualifications:
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with Cypress in a professional setting
- 3+ years of experience in building and executing automated test suites
- Proficient in testing client-server/web applications and APIs using modern automation tools
- Strong understanding of BDD frameworks (Cypress, Lighthouse, etc.)
- Experience creating and implementing SQL for validation and automation
- Skilled in using source control tools such as Git or Bitbucket and CI/CD tools like Jenkins
- Familiarity with both scripted and recording automation tools
- Solid understanding of Agile software development methodologies
- Strong verbal and written communication skills; able to collaborate across technical and non-technical teams
- Proven track record of thriving in fast-paced, changing environments
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
- Knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming
- Experience with Atlassian tools (Jira, Zephyr, Confluence)
- 3+ years of experience in Java, JavaScript
- Experience with front-end frameworks such as React, Node.js, Angular
