Our client is a cutting-edge technology company leveraging AI to optimize every stage of the advertising lifecycle. By unifying creative, media, and performance strategies through an intelligent, data-driven platform, they are transforming how AdTech operates. As they scale rapidly, they are seeking a Director of Software Engineering to drive the next phase of technical growth.

THE ROLE

As the Director of Software Engineering, you will lead cross-functional engineering teams responsible for building scalable, high-performance systems that power the company's AdTech platform. You will oversee software delivery across multiple product lines, ensuring technical excellence, team productivity, and alignment with broader business goals. This is a hands-on leadership role, ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of engineering strategy, team building, and cutting-edge technology development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead, mentor, and grow multiple engineering teams across backend, frontend, infrastructure, and ML systems.
• Define and drive software engineering best practices across the organization, ensuring quality, scalability, and performance.
• Partner closely with product, design, data, and ML teams to deliver impactful, customer-facing solutions.
• Remain hands-on with architecture decisions, code reviews, and system design where needed.
• Oversee the end-to-end software development lifecycle — from planning and execution to deployment and monitoring.
• Identify areas of technical debt and drive refactoring and modernization efforts.
• Champion a culture of collaboration, technical ownership, and continuous improvement.

YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• Proven experience leading high-performing engineering teams in fast-paced, product-focused environments.
• Strong technical background with experience in full-stack or backend engineering using technologies like Python, TypeScript, Node.js, React, or similar.
• Familiarity with cloud-native architectures (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and infrastructure tools like Docker, Kubernetes, and Terraform.
• Experience integrating ML/AI components into production systems is a strong plus.
• Solid understanding of modern CI/CD practices, observability tools, and agile development workflows.
• Excellent communication skills and a track record of working cross-functionally with product, data, and leadership teams.
• Experience in AdTech or similar data-intensive, high-scale industries is highly desirable.
