Back End Developer

Laika CX specializes in AI-powered customer service automation, offering businesses an advanced generative AI chatbot that handles inquiries, automates processes, and provides human-like interactions.

We are looking for a Junior Back-End Developer to join Laika CX as the first dedicated developer alongside the CTO. This role offers a unique opportunity to work directly with leadership, contribute to core product development, and gain hands-on experience in AI-powered automation.

The developer will be responsible for:

• Building and maintaining REST APIs to support AI-driven automation.
• Managing databases (SQL & NoSQL) for efficient data storage and retrieval.
• Integrating third-party APIs and services into our system.
• Implementing authentication and security measures using token-based access.
• Working with AI libraries (OpenAI, Gemini) to integrate intelligent automation.
• Assisting in cloud deployment, particularly on Google Cloud Platform (Cloud Functions, Cloud Run).

• Programming Language: Python
• API Development: Experience in designing and building REST APIs
• Database: Hands-on experience with NoSQL & SQL
• 3rd-Party Integrations: Proven experience integrating external APIs and services
• Authentication & Security: Experience with access token-based authentication
• AI Libraries: Familiarity with OpenAI, Gemini
• GCP: Knowledge of Cloud Functions, Cloud Run (preferred)
