The Role: Full Stack Developer
Oceans is seeking talented candidates in Sri Lanka to become Full Stack Developers.
Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and optimize our React-based front-end application
- Work on the Node.js back-end, including API development and cron job management
- Manage cloud infrastructure and deployment processes using AWS and Vercel
- Implement and maintain database functionality using Supabase (a GUI for AWS)
- Optimize AWS configurations to improve performance and cost efficiency
- Collaborate closely with the small engineering team to rapidly develop and deploy features
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues across the full stack
- Participate in technical decision-making and contribute to product direction
- 4+ years of experience in full-stack development
- Strong proficiency in React.js (8/10 skill level or higher preferred)
- Experience with Node.js for back-end development
- Familiarity with Supabase, Vercel, and other cloud-based backend solutions
- Ability to quickly onboard onto an unfamiliar codebase and start contributing
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently with minimal guidance
- Experience working in a fast-paced startup environment or the ability to adapt to one
- Knowledge of cloud deployment and infrastructure management, particularly with AWS
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate in a small team setting
- Experience with AI/ML tools and frameworks
- Prior experience working on consumer-facing applications
- Hands-on experience optimizing AWS cloud infrastructure
- Experience working with serverless architectures
- Background in performance tuning for high-traffic web applications
