Job Role: WordPress Developer

Salary Range: $2500 - 3500 AUD/month

Role Overview:

We're seeking a skilled and detail-oriented WordPress Developer who can efficiently build pixel-perfect websites from professional designs. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of front-end and back-end development, along with a bit of high-level thinking and creativity to suggest workarounds and solutions when needed.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, customize, and maintain WordPress websites with a strong focus on performance, responsiveness, and accuracy to design specifications
• Translate Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, or Figma design files into fully functional, pixel-perfect WordPress sites
• Offer creative development solutions and technical suggestions to support the design team
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to performance, security, and functionality
• Optimize website speed and performance through best coding practices and efficient asset management
• Work with various WordPress themes and page builders (e.g., Elementor, WPBakery, Gutenberg) as needed
• Implement custom WordPress themes and plugins as required
• Conduct website testing, debugging, and ongoing maintenance to ensure high-quality performance
• Occasionally handle non-development tasks such as file organization, research, and basic administrative support when developer workload is low
  
  

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience in WordPress development, including theme and plugin customization
• Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, and MySQL
• Strong understanding of website performance optimization and SEO best practices
• Experience with Git version control, hosting environments, and domain management
• Familiarity with Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and Figma to translate designs into functional websites
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to provide creative development solutions
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with design and marketing teams
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to assist with occasional personal assistant tasks when needed
• Shopify experience is a plus but not essential
