About the Role
Upmind are seeking an experienced Data/Analytics Engineer with 4-5 years of hands-on experience to join our team on a contractual basis. This is a fully remote position with flexible working hours, offering an excellent opportunity for professionals who prefer independent work. As a Data/Analytics Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining data pipelines, analytics solutions, and reporting platforms.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain scalable data pipelines and workflows using Airflow and dbt Cloud.
- Design and implement data models in BigQuery for efficient querying and storage.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into data-driven solutions.
- Build and maintain dashboards and reporting solutions using tools like Metabase or Tableau.
- Optimize data infrastructure for performance, scalability, and cost-efficiency.
- Monitor and troubleshoot data workflows to ensure accuracy and reliability.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in data engineering and analytics.
Requirements
- Experience: 4-5 years as a Data/Analytics Engineer.
- Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
Technical Skills:
- dbt Cloud
- Airflow (or similar workflow orchestration tools)
- BigQuery (or similar data warehouses)
- Metabase/Tableau (or similar data visualization tools)
- Programming Skills: Proficiency in SQL and at least one programming language (e.g., Python).
- Data Modeling: Strong understanding of data modeling techniques.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, especially for remote work.
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: BDT 80,000 - BDT 100,000 (Negotiable)
- Weekly Holidays: Saturday & Sunday
- Work Environment: Fully remote with flexible hours
