DevSecOps Engineer, Zimbabwe or other African countries

We support our clients in defining their digitalization strategy and architecture, experimenting with and adopting new technologies, and throughout the lifecycle of the delivered solutions. Our main value streams are Infrastructure as Code, Cloudification, cloud performance and security, DevSecOps, and agile approaches through a strong software factory with its DevOps teams.

For this open position, we are looking for a motivated candidate, already based in Africa, who will work jointly with our specialized digitalization and software engineering Competence Centres located in Geneva (Switzerland) and Harare (Zimbabwe).

What will you do if you join us?

1/ Co-build with the engineering teams in Geneva:

• Define the architectures of solutions to be implemented to address Data / Microservices / AI use cases.
• Present the defined designs to the technical teams in Geneva and the Scrum Master.
• Consider feedback and report needs to the Scrum Master and CTO.
• Ensure proper implementations in alignment with group directives.
• The integration of new business services or the implementation of new infrastructure services may require the development of new services and tools.
• The role includes the design and implementation of these services in accordance with the highest industry standards.

2/ Support Development Teams:

• Provide ongoing technical support to various development teams (whether internal or these of our clients/partners for both on-premises or hybrid deployments) throughout the project lifecycle. This includes assistance with setting up development environments, solving technical issues, and offering technical advice.
• Work closely with development teams to understand their needs, quickly resolve technical issues, and propose solutions to optimize the development process. Ensure the availability of development environments and assist in setting up tools to facilitate developers' work.

Your Profile and Technical Skills

• Master’s degree in software engineering with a focus on network and security.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role and 8 years of overall experience.
• Security (Intermediate).
• Deployment/Integration: Docker (Advanced); GitLab CI (Advanced); Kubernetes (Expert); Terraform (Expert), Helm (Expert).
• Development: Bash (Advanced); GIT (Expert); GitLab (Advanced); Docker (Advanced).
• Networking: Cloud concepts and architecture (Advanced); Load-balancing (Advanced); Proxy/Reverse Proxy (Advanced).
• Operating Systems: Linux (Expert).
• Cloud Technologies: AWS (Expert); GCP (Advanced).
