About The Role

We are seeking a talented Python Software Systems Engineer to join our dynamic, fully remote development team. In this role, you will play a critical part in developing, deploying, and maintaining our platform, ensuring it remains fast, secure, and reliable. Your responsibilities will include contributing to the creation of new features, enhancing system performance, and implementing best practices for deployment and system management. You will work closely with other engineers and operators to build scalable solutions, improve system robustness, and support our continuous integration and delivery processes. The ideal candidate is a proactive learner, adaptable, and capable of working independently in a distributed team environment. Your contributions will directly impact the efficiency and stability of our products, helping us deliver innovative solutions to our clients efficiently and securely.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to work independently and communicate effectively in a remote setting
• Strong programming experience with Python or equivalent high-level programming languages
• Solid scripting skills using Python, Bash, or similar languages
• Experience in developing robust, testable, and industry-standard code
• Familiarity with system administration and configuration management
• Understanding of software lifecycle processes, including CI/CD pipelines
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve system failures promptly
• Experience working within DevOps or Agile development environments

Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and maintain high-quality Python code, including unit and integration tests
• Configure, deploy, and administer production services to ensure high availability and security
• Create and manage staging, testing, and development environments to streamline the development process
• Automate software lifecycle processes to support continuous integration and delivery
• Participate in on-call rotations, diagnosing and resolving system issues efficiently
• Develop procedures for updating and upgrading systems with minimal downtime
• Collaborate with team members through code reviews, design discussions, and paired programming sessions
