Infrastructure and Database Engineer

Areti have partnered with a leading organisation who are looking for someone to join their Infrastructure Team.

• Role: Infrastructure and Database Engineer
• Salary: £45 - 55k
• On Call - £8k on top of Salary
• Location: Fully remote

You will be able to work in a Dynamic Infrastructure team - Must have experience as a SQL DBA but work not limited to that as they are constantly looking at push and evolve their technology stack.

Experience required:

• Demonstrable experience in a similar role.
• Strong skillset in Microsoft Azure platforms and hybrid system integrations.
• Knowledge of Azure Container platforms, and the management of Container-based applications.
• Experience administering SQL Server databases including backup, optimisation and performance troubleshooting
• Strong PowerShell automation and scripting skills.
• Knowledge of Azure DevOps best practices, release management and CI/CD software deployment methods.
• Thorough understanding of Cybersecurity principles and experience in implementing security features across infrastructure and cloud systems.
• Microsoft M365 management and security, which must include Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, OneDrive and Teams.
• Strong skillset in desktop and application management using InTune.
• Excellent knowledge and experience of managing infrastructure, desktop and application virtualisation platforms, such as Hyper-V, Citrix, Azure Virtual Desktop and the ability to demonstrate a thorough understanding of their underlying concepts.
• Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Windows server environments.
• Ability to demonstrate a thorough understanding of basic networking concepts.
• Ability to work autonomously, creatively and efficiently to resolve complex technical problems.
• Work effectively with system vendors, external companies and managed service providers.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with technical and non-technical teams of people.
