Job Description
We’re looking to hire an enthusiastic network security engineer to join one of the largest Multinational Corporations in the world. It would be a position working as a Security Engineer for their office in The Hague, Netherlands.
Responsibilities:
- Understand security protocols like SSL, TLS, and IPsec.
- Know network security concepts (firewalls, DLP, VPNs).
- Resolve problems with innovative solutions.
- Use programming (e.g., Python) for security automation.
- Apply security testing (penetration testing, risk analysis).
- Have advanced IT knowledge (Microsoft 365, VMware).
- Experience with security tools (SIEM, SOAR, UEBA, DLP).
- Proficiency in operating systems (Windows, Linux, Unix).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelors in a technical field.
- 3+ years in computing or Data Networking, preferably in cybersecurity.
- Adaptability and proactive learning.
- Strong English communication.
- Analytical and collaborative skills.
- Work closely with IT and business for security integration.
Business Applications:
- Develop solutions and maintain systems.
- Anticipate impacts and liaise between client areas.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures.
Information Security:
- Monitor logs and respond to security events.
- Conduct forensic evaluations and support log collection.
- Communicate technical results and contribute to security policy development.
Others:
- Hybrid: 3 days office, 2 days home. Every other week is a 4-day work week, 2 days at home and two days in the office.
