BI Developer

The Role

KPMG is currently seeking to recruit a BI Developer to join our Advisory Digital Solutions team.

Responsibilities

• Work in cross-disciplinary teams with KPMG industry specialists, data scientists, and software engineers, to understand business requirements and translate them into effective BI designs and strategies;
• ​Analyse client information to produce accurate reports, taking ownership of investigating and analysing any questions or concerns raised from stakeholders with regards to data quality, reliability, and efficiency;
• ​Design and implement end-to-end BI solutions, including data modelling, dashboard development, and report creation;
• ​Develop BI architecture frameworks and best practices to ensure scalability, performance, and maintainability of BI solutions;
• ​Evaluate and recommend appropriate data sources, data integration strategies, and visualisation techniques to meet client objectives;
• ​Provide technical guidance and support to development teams during the implementation and deployment of BI solutions;
• ​Provide guidance on and implement appropriate BI security model in line with best practices and client security policies;
• ​Stay up to date with the latest BI features, updates, and best practices and apply them to enhance the overall solution delivery;
• ​Conduct BI training sessions and workshops for clients and internal teams to foster adoption and maximize the utilization of BI capabilities;
• ​Perform performance optimisation, troubleshooting, and monitoring of BI solutions to ensure optimal functionality and user experience;
• ​Contribute to the development of strategies, roadmaps and business cases for data & analytics solutions;
• ​Make judgements, clarifications and decisions with relevant stakeholders in building solutions;
• ​Data visualisation skills, using design flair to design beautiful yet functional dashboards.

Requirements

• 3 years experience in an equivalent BI Developer/Analyst role;
• ​Proficiency in BI and DAX for data modelling and report development;
• ​Strong SQL skills and SQL Database Management (MySQL, PostgreSQL);
• ​Experience in Azure/cloud platforms;
• ​Working knowledge of R/Python for data manipulation and analysis;
• ​Proven ability to pick up new programming languages and technologies quickly
• ​Fluency in English, both written and spoken;
• ​Experience working in a multicultural service/consulting organization is highly preferred;
• ​Relevant certifications in BI or business intelligence (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Data Analyst Associate, Microsoft Certified: Data Engineer Associate) are highly desirable;
• ​Excellent academic background, demonstrating intellectual curiosity and problem-solving abilities.
