Mobile Application Developer

We're looking for a skilled Mobile App Developer to join a fast-growing Stockholm-based fintech startup. You’ll play a key role in developing a native app that transforms how consumers manage their finances, all while enjoying the flexibility of working remotely from anywhere.

This startup is in a dynamic growth phase, with a small, dedicated team of around 10 people. They’re building a cutting-edge financial platform powered by AI that simplifies money management for end consumers, focusing on intuitive design and seamless user experience. The company operates on a remote-first model, so you can work from anywhere, supported by an external payroll service provider.

About the Role

As a Mobile App Developer, you’ll focus on either iOS or Android, depending on your expertise. You’ll collaborate closely with a small product team to ensure the app delivers a smooth and user-friendly experience. Your work will directly impact how users interact with the platform, making financial management more accessible and engaging.

What You’ll Do

• iOS development: If your expertise is in iOS, you’ll build and maintain the app using Swift, ensuring high performance, quality, and responsiveness.
• Android development: If Android is your focus, you’ll focus more on developing and optimizing the app using Kotlin, creating a consistent and smooth user experience.
• User interface: Collaborate with designers to implement clean and efficient UI/UX designs tailored for your platform.
• API integration: Work with the backend team to integrate RESTful APIs, ensuring seamless data flow and synchronization.
• Testing & debugging: Identify and resolve bugs, optimize performance, and ensure the app is reliable and efficient.
• Feature implementation: Work on new features from conception to deployment, continuously improving the app based on user feedback and analytics.
• Code quality: Write clean, maintainable code and participate in code reviews to uphold high standards.

Who You Are

• Experienced: 3+ years of experience in native mobile app development, with strong expertise in either Swift for iOS or Kotlin for Android.
• Tech-savvy: Experienced in integrating RESTful APIs, and familiar with tools like Firebase for analytics and push notifications.
• Detail-oriented: You have a strong eye for detail, particularly in UI implementation and performance optimization.
• Collaborative: Enjoy working closely with a small, cross-functional team, including designers and backend developers.
• Self-driven: You thrive in a remote-first, fast-paced startup environment where you can take initiative and drive projects forward.
