About The Role
We're looking for a creative animator and visual storyteller to help bring ValiCred to life. The primary focus of this role is animation and visual storytelling, creating captivating educational and entertaining content that can be used across our digital platforms. You'll work closely with our team to turn ideas, concepts, and scripts into engaging 2D and/or 3D animated content, short-form videos, motion graphics, and supporting visual assets. We're looking for someone who can take a simple idea and turn it into something memorable. You don't need to be a marketing expert. Our team will handle the marketing strategy and distribution while you focus on creating exceptional visual content. This is a remote role with an early-stage Australian technology startup, giving you the creative freedom to experiment, develop new ideas, and help establish ValiCred's visual identity.
Responsibilities
● Create captivating 2D and/or 3D animated content for social media and digital platforms.
● Turn ideas, concepts, and scripts into engaging visual stories.
● Develop short-form animated videos for platforms such as Instagram, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, and Facebook.
● Create motion graphics and animated visual elements.
● Develop creative concepts that make complex educational topics simple, entertaining, and easy to understand.
● Edit and assemble video content where required.
● Create supporting graphic designs, illustrations, thumbnails, and other visual assets when needed.
● Experiment with different animation styles, visual approaches, and storytelling techniques.
● Work closely with the ValiCred team to bring creative concepts from idea to finished content.
● Help establish a consistent visual style for the ValiCred brand.

● Stay up to date with animation, visual content, and social media trends.
● Manage creative projects and deliver content within agreed deadlines.
Requirements
● Strong skills in 2D animation, 3D animation, or both.
● A strong understanding of visual storytelling and the ability to communicate ideas through animation.
● Experience creating short-form video or digital content.
● Experience with motion graphics is an advantage.
● Basic to strong graphic design skills, including an understanding of composition, typography, colour, and layout.
● Strong creative thinking and attention to detail.
● Ability to take an idea or concept and independently develop it into finished visual content.
● Willingness to experiment, learn, and develop new creative techniques.
● Good written and verbal English communication skills.
● Ability to work independently in a remote environment and meet deadlines.
● A portfolio demonstrating your animation and creative work is highly desirable.
