My client in the iGaming industry is looking for an ambitious Senior Java Engineer to join their fast-growing company in Malta.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to focus on designing and implementing effective solutions for software delivery and operations by streamlining and automating processes.
🌏 Working schedule: Hybrid - Tallin, Estonia (3 days on / 2 days off)
💰 Salary: Circa €65k gross/year.

As a Senior Java Engineer your responsibilities will include:
- Collaborating with an Agile team to design and implement new features.
- Engaging in code reviews and pair programming to maintain high code quality.
- Adhering to and promoting best engineering practices.
- Mentoring team members to ensure efficient and high-quality delivery of projects.
- Embracing a DevOps mindset, including building, testing, deploying, and monitoring new software.
- Identifying opportunities for automation to enhance efficiency.
We are looking for candidates with the following qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience as a Java Developer.
- 5+ years of experienece with Spring/Springboot and Microservices.
- 5+ years of experience with RabbitMQ, Kafka or ActiveMQ.
- Understand database concepts, NoSQL databases and CI/CD.
Nice to have skills include:
- Experience working with infrastructure As Code using Terraform (or similar).
- DevOps culture - build, test, deliver and monitor new software.
- Automating everything where possible.
