WordPress Systems Administrator (Website Infrastructure)
Location: Remote (EST/CST Preferred)
Employment Type: 40 hours/week (contract)
Our client is seeking a WordPress Systems Administrator to support and maintain the organization's website infrastructure. This is not a web development or full-stack development role. We're looking for someone with hands-on experience managing WordPress environments, website infrastructure, integrations, hosting, and security.
Working alongside the Website Manager and Marketing Technology team, you'll be responsible for the overall health, performance, security, and reliability of the organization's WordPress platform while supporting integrations with internal and third-party systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer, maintain, and optimize the organization's WordPress environment.
- Manage website hosting, DNS, SSL certificates, Cloudflare, and related web infrastructure.
- Maintain WordPress plugins, themes, platform updates, and overall site health.
- Monitor website performance, uptime, availability, and security.
- Support and troubleshoot website integrations with internal and third-party applications.
- Configure and implement platform enhancements to improve stability, performance, and reliability.
- Apply cybersecurity best practices and assist with vulnerability remediation and penetration testing findings.
- Troubleshoot complex website infrastructure and platform issues.
- Partner with marketing and business stakeholders to support website initiatives and technical requirements.
- Provide technical support for HubSpot and other marketing technology integrations as needed.

Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience administering and supporting production WordPress environments.
- Strong experience with website hosting, DNS, SSL certificates, Cloudflare, CDN/WAF technologies, and web infrastructure.
- Experience supporting website integrations and APIs.
- Knowledge of website security, vulnerability management, and cybersecurity best practices.
- Strong troubleshooting experience across WordPress and website infrastructure.
- Solid understanding of web architecture, hosting, and platform administration.

- Experience supporting cloud-hosted web environments.
