Senior QA Engineer - Loan Origination Systems

We are seeking a Senior QA Engineer with strong manual and automated testing experience within the financial services industry, specifically supporting loan origination systems such as Encompass. This role is embedded within a cross-functional IT team that includes developers, business analysts, product owners, and key stakeholders.

The ideal candidate will bring a quality-first mindset, strong technical testing skills, and the ability to collaborate closely throughout the full software development lifecycle. Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and execute manual and automated test plans for Encompass and related banking platforms.
• Partner with business analysts, developers, product owners, and stakeholders to review requirements and ensure comprehensive test coverage.

• Perform regression, integration, end-to-end, and user acceptance testing.
• Identify, document, and track defects across multiple environments using tools such as Jira or Azure DevOps.
• Build and maintain automation frameworks and test scripts using tools such as Selenium, Cypress, or similar technologies.
• Provide ongoing analysis and feedback to improve software quality, testing processes, and team efficiency.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily standups, reviews, and retrospectives.
• Ensure quality is built into the development process from the start.

Experience:

• 5–7 years of experience as a QA Engineer or Software Tester within banking, financial services, lending, or mortgage environments.
• 1+ years of hands-on experience with Encompass or a similar loan origination system.
• Experience working with third-party financial systems such as Encompass, LoanIQ, InfoLease, or similar platforms.

• Strong background in both manual and automated testing methodologies.
• Experience working in large-scale, enterprise environments, ideally within a major financial institution.

• Working knowledge of Agile/Scrum development practices and related tools.
