Technical Lead - AI
Fully remote, from anywhere. Any time zone. Fluent English required.
Conquer AI deploys production-ready AI systems for FTSE 100, FTSE 250 and Fortune 500 clients. We're scaling fast. We need someone who can sit between our engineers and our clients and hold both sides steady.
The reality of this role You won't just be writing specs or reviewing pull requests. You'll be the person who goes deep into agentic architecture and LLM infrastructure with your engineering team in the morning, then explains why it matters to a non-technical client stakeholder in the afternoon, without losing precision either way. Our delivery model puts live AI agents into real enterprise operations. Technical decisions need to be explainable. Explanations need to stay true to the technical reality. You hold both.
What you'll own
- Technical delivery across live client programmes, end to end
- Architecture and tech stack decisions for LLM, RAG and agentic AI systems in production
- The translation layer between engineering teams and non-technical client stakeholders
- Quality, testing and governance standards for what we ship into enterprise environments
- Mentorship of a distributed engineering team working across time zones
- Technical input into scoping and planning for new and existing programmes

Who you are
- You've built and shipped production AI systems, not just prototypes. LLMs, RAG pipelines and agentic architectures are second nature
- Comfortable across the modern AI stack. Python, LangChain or Hugging Face, cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP or Azure), and MLOps tooling like Docker, Kubernetes and MLflow
- You can explain a retrieval pipeline to an engineer and a business outcome to a client in the same day, without switching gears
- You've led technical teams before. Mentoring, code review, setting the technical bar
- Fluent in English, comfortable working async across a globally distributed team
- Calm and clear when requirements are unclear or clients are demanding
