Senior .NET Engineer

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior .NET Engineer based in Canada.

Accountabilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable applications using C#, ASP.NET, React, and modern full-stack technologies.
• Build clean, maintainable, and high-quality software following best engineering practices and architectural principles.
• Collaborate closely with distributed teams to evaluate solutions, share knowledge, and deliver successful project outcomes.
• Contribute to software architecture decisions, including microservices, domain-driven design, and service-oriented architectures where appropriate.
• Implement and improve CI/CD pipelines, automated testing strategies, and software delivery processes.
• Mentor fellow engineers through technical guidance, documentation, code reviews, and knowledge sharing.
• Leverage AI-assisted development tools to improve productivity and software quality.
• Take ownership of projects from design through deployment while proactively solving complex technical challenges.
  
  

Requirements

• 7+ years of professional software engineering experience delivering production applications.
• Degree in Computer Science or an equivalent technical background.
• Strong expertise in C# and ASP.NET with solid experience across full-stack development.

• Hands-on experience with React and modern frontend development.
• Strong knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases, including PostgreSQL, Microsoft SQL Server, and MongoDB.
• Experience with MVC architecture, ORM frameworks, and scalable application design.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing, including unit, integration, and end-to-end testing.
• Strong understanding of Domain-Driven Design (DDD), Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA), and microservices.
• Experience using AI-assisted software development tools as part of daily engineering workflows.
• Proven ability to mentor engineers and contribute to a collaborative engineering culture.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, organizational, and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work effectively within distributed, international teams.
• Nice to have:
• Experience in capital markets or financial derivatives.
• Knowledge of CQRS, Event Sourcing, or event-driven architectures.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, AWS CDK, Terraform, or similar cloud infrastructure technologies.
• Familiarity with Blazor.
