Job Description
Who We Are
Asset Ocean is a subsidiary of Encavis, one of the leading independent producers of electricity from renewable energy sources. We provide a central solution for the renewable energy sector to manage data from multiple solar and wind farms. Our mission is to improve data management and accelerate decision-making by providing high-quality data access and actionable business insights - helping Encavis scale its decentralized generation portfolio through intelligent data use.
Build the platform behind smarter energy decisions
As a Platform Engineer, you will be part of Asset Ocean, the team building the data product behind Encavis’ ambition to become one of Europe’s leading power producers and enablers of smarter energy trading.
Working in a small, highly collaborative and fast-moving environment, you will help shape a platform that is continuously evolving, with a strong focus on reliability, scalability and frequent delivery. You will operate at the intersection of DevOps, data engineering and platform architecture, contributing directly to a system that underpins critical business decisions.
This role offers you the opportunity to take real ownership from day one, work closely with a driven and hands-on team, and build technology that has a tangible impact on the energy transition.
What You Can Expect
- Platform Ownership & DevOps Excellence: You take ownership of CI/CD pipelines, release processes and QA automation to enable fast, reliable and confident product delivery.
- Data Platform Enablement: You support the data team by improving dbt automation, warehouse scalability and shared tooling, ensuring a robust and scalable data platform.
- Reliability & Observability: You establish high standards for system reliability and observability (e.g. SLIs, incident response), reducing operational issues and improving system stability.
- Security & Platform Integrity: You ensure strong security standards, including secrets management, dependency scanning and secure access control based on least privilege principles.
- Platform Architecture & Development: You design and build scalable platform components such as messaging systems, event buses or integration layers in close collaboration with development teams.
- AI & Innovation Integration: You actively integrate AI-driven solutions into platform development and contribute to innovative approaches beyond standard implementations.

- Architecture & Development Skills: You are able to design cloud setups, collaborate closely with developers on system architecture and implement platform components yourself.
- Data Platform Understanding: You bring experience working with data platforms, data warehouses or closely supporting data teams.
- Customer-Oriented Mindset: You treat internal developers as your customers, communicate clearly and focus on delivering practical, high-impact solutions.
- Hands-on & Impact-Driven Approach: You focus on delivering value pragmatically and efficiently rather than over-engineering solutions.
- Language & Remote Environment: You communicate fluently in English and feel comfortable working in a fully remote, international setup.
