Job Description
Principal Game Programmer / Technical Director | EU Remote working | €90k-130k + excellent bonuses and profit share
- Fully remote working from within the European Union
We're partnering with an ambitious independent game studio developing a next-generation, ultra-realistic multiplayer first-person shooter in Unreal Engine 5.
This is an opportunity to join a small, highly experienced engineering team where you'll have genuine ownership over the technical direction of a brand-new IP. Rather than maintaining legacy systems, you'll help define the architecture, networking and core gameplay technology that will underpin the project for years to come.
If you enjoy solving complex technical challenges, building scalable multiplayer systems and working alongside exceptionally capable developers, we'd like to hear from you.
The Role
As a senior technical leader, you'll play a key role in shaping the game's technology while remaining hands-on with development. You'll work across gameplay systems, networking, engine architecture and backend technology, taking ownership of major systems from initial design through to implementation.
This role would suit someone already operating as a Principal Engineer, Lead Programmer, Technical Director or an exceptional Senior Programmer ready to step into a broader technical leadership position.
