Join our dynamic international team and embrace the adventure of working abroad!


For an European institution in Brussels, Belgium, we are looking for a Senior Network Engineer with deep expertise in Enterprise Networking, Cloud Networking, and Network Security to support and evolve complex, mission-critical network infrastructures.


The successful candidate possesses extensive experience designing, implementing, securing, and operating large-scale network environments within enterprise, government, public sector, or highly regulated organizations.


Candidates need to be based in Belgium. Consultants need to go 3 days on-site weekly and 2 days remote in Belgium.

Candidates need to be fluent in English. A work permit is required, but not provided. This position is open for contractors.


Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement network automation solutions using modern DevOps and NetOps practices;
  • Develop and maintain Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) frameworks for scalable network operations;
  • Automate device deployment through Zero Touch Provisioning (ZTP) and PXE boot technologies;
  • Build and maintain network configuration templates and automated testing pipelines;
  • Deploy and manage containerized automation tools and services;
  • Support enterprise data center, campus, cloud, and security networking environments;
  • Implement network monitoring, telemetry, analytics, and compliance solutions;
  • Collaborate with infrastructure, security, and cloud teams to deliver reliable and secure services;
  • Evaluate emerging technologies, standards, and industry best practices;


Profile:

  • Bachelor or Master degree or equivalent through experience;
  • +6 years of relevant Network Engineering, Network Operations, or Network Automation experience;
  • Experience with large-scale enterprise and government environments;
  • Experience with Telecom and Data Center Consulting;


Network Automation & NetOps:

  • Ansible;
  • NetBox;
  • GitLab CI/CD;
  • Python;
  • Network/Security Operations Automation (NetOps/SecOps);
  • Infrastructure as Code (IaC);
  • Automated device provisioning and configuration management;
  • Container networking (Kubernetes, Docker);
  • Hybrid cloud integration;


Relevant certifications from Cisco, Aruba, VMware, Fortinet, Check Point, AWS, Azure, or similar vendors is an advantage;

Fluent in English;
