- Drive Reliability: Design and manage high-availability topologies for MikroTik, UniFi, and Fortinet stacks, utilizing BGP, OSPF, and Multi-ISP load balancing to ensure 99.9% uptime.
- Optimize Wireless & Security: Design and optimize enterprise-grade Wi-Fi (UniFi/FortiAP) and enforce robust wired security through 802.1X authentication, dynamic VLAN segmentation, and RADIUS integration.
- Scale Access & Connectivity: Manage and scale secure VPN infrastructure (WireGuard, OpenVPN, GlobalProtect) with MFA-enforced access and granular RBAC policies.
- Build Observability: Develop comprehensive monitoring and observability pipelines (Grafana/VictoriaMetrics) to track network health, define alerting thresholds, and lead the resolution of complex incidents.
- Engineer Solutions: Develop Python-based tooling to automate network management tasks, from configuration rendering to compliance checks and operational reporting.
- Collaborate & Mentor: Partner closely with DevOps, Security, and Endpoint Engineering teams to align workflows, drive cross-functional projects, and mentor the team in network automation and IaC best practices.
What You Bring
- Experience: 5+ years of experience in network engineering or infrastructure roles, with a proven ability to thrive in fast-paced, shifting environments.
- Core Technical Expertise: Advanced proficiency with MikroTik (RouterOS), Ubiquiti UniFi, and Fortinet (FortiGate/FortiAP), including HA configuration and policy management.
- Network Foundation: Deep knowledge of routing, switching (BGP, OSPF, VLANs, QoS), and VPN protocols (WireGuard, OpenVPN, GlobalProtect).
- Automation Mindset: Solid background in applying IaC principles to networking via Ansible or Terraform, combined with Python scripting skills for automation and API integration.
- Security & Identity: Hands-on experience with 802.1X port-based authentication, certificate lifecycle management (EAP-TLS), and integration with identity providers like Okta or Entra ID.
- Diagnostic Prowess: Strong ability to troubleshoot complex wireless issues (RF captures, supplicant logs, roaming analysis) and wired connectivity.
- Bonus Points: Experience with Palo Alto NGFW, cloud networking (AWS), SecureW2, or compliance frameworks like SOC 2/ISO 27001.
