Position Overview
We're seeking a Security Engineering Manager to lead a high-performing team focused on securing our cloud infrastructure, edge networks, and modern application delivery platforms. In this role, you'll guide engineers working with cloud providers (AWS, GCP, Azure), Cloudflare's security platform, SASE/zero-trust architecture, and privileged access management tools. You'll combine hands-on cloud security expertise with people leadership, building a team that owns the security of our most critical attack surfaces while driving architectural improvements and incident response excellence. This is an ideal role for an experienced security engineer who wants to grow as a technical leader while staying deeply involved in cloud security strategy and operations.
What You’ll Do
- Build and lead a high-performing team of Infrastructure Security engineers focused on cloud security, SASE, WAF, and edge security technologies
- Help team members grow their skills and experience in cloud-native security, zero-trust networking, and modern application delivery security
- Provide input on cloud security architecture, infrastructure hardening, and edge security features
- Hold regular 1:1's with all members of their team and create a sense of psychological safety
- Identify the need for, and drive the implementation of security-related technical and process improvements in cloud and edge domains
- Draft and successfully deliver on quarterly OKRs aligned with the infrastructure security roadmap
- Provide tactical oversight of the team's daily efforts and maintain vision for the team's immediate and near-term future
- Develop and maintain the team's KPIs around cloud security posture, WAF effectiveness, edge network security, and incident response
- Partner with peers in Infrastructure, Identity, Application Security, and Threat Response teams to ensure end-to-end cloud and edge security
- Assume the role of an Incident Manager during cloud or edge security events
- Participate in Security Engineering and Escalation On-Call rotation

We’re looking for someone who:
- Has the ability to work from office or 100% remotely
- Your experience should include some or all of the following:
- Proven track record as an experienced member of Cloud Security or Infrastructure Security teams—either as an Individual Contributor or as a Manager
- Minimum 3 years' hands-on experience with cloud security architecture and operations
- Demonstrated expertise with Cloudflare (WAF, DDoS, SASE capabilities), cloud provider WAF solutions (AWS WAFv2, GCP Cloud Armor, Azure WAF), and modern cloud access/zero-trust platforms
- Strong knowledge of SASE principles, implementation, and operational security
- Experience or deep familiarity with Privileged Access Management platforms such as BeyondTrust, CyberArk, or HashiCorp Vault
- Experience with identity and access governance tools and secrets management (Keeper or equivalent)
- Experience leading Security or security-focused Site Reliability teams
- Experience at a SaaS or product company
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, especially with executive-level communications

- Willingness to be part of the Security Escalation On-Call rotation
- Robust understanding of cloud infrastructure security, network segmentation, and the current threat landscape
- Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code technologies (Terraform, Ansible)
