Position Summary:

As a Social Media Manager on our Business Solutions team, you will craft and execute social strategy for a varied portfolio of clients โ€” from national B2B manufacturers (LinkedIn-forward thought leadership and technical/educational content) to local service businesses (community, project showcases, reviews) and mission-driven institutions. This is a hands-on creative role: in addition to strategy, paid social, and reporting, you will build much of your own graphics and short-form video. While we have in-house graphic designers, we especially want this person to be self-sufficient and skilled at producing content with tools such as CapCut, Canva, and Adobe. This is a fully remote position open to candidates anywhere in the United States; you must physically reside in the U.S. to be eligible.


Key Responsibilities:

โ€ขย ย ย ย ย Content Strategy & Calendars: Build and manage platform-specific content calendars across a varied portfolio of business clients, tailoring each to the clientโ€™s archetype โ€” B2B manufacturer, local service, or institution โ€” and to their goals, audience, and seasonality.


โ€ขย ย ย ย ย Hands-On Content & Video Production: Produce custom-branded graphics and short-form video yourself using tools such as CapCut, Canva, and Adobe Creative Suite โ€” owning a high share of creative production rather than relying solely on the design team.


โ€ขย ย ย ย ย Platform Management & Publishing: Manage day-to-day posting, scheduling, and publishing through Buffer (our social media management platform), with a LinkedIn-forward approach for B2B clients and Meta/Google emphasis for local-service clients.


โ€ขย ย ย ย ย Post Quality & Engagement Best Practices: Build every post to proven engagement benchmarks โ€” researching and applying trending, relevant hashtags (including hashtag-generator tools), incorporating website deep links, and writing concise, mobile-first copy. Posts should read as authentic, human, and genuinely engaging; generic, obviously AI-written copy is not what we are looking for.


โ€ขย ย ย ย ย Paid Social & Audience Targeting: Build and run paid social campaigns โ€” including setting up third-party audience targeting, managing ad budgets, and continuously optimizing โ€” to reach the right segments and drive measurable results.


โ€ขย ย ย ย ย Reporting & Analytics: Help generate clear, regular performance reports โ€” tracking reach, engagement, and conversions โ€” and translate the data into insights and recommendations for the next cycle.


โ€ขย ย ย ย ย Copywriting & Brand Voice: Write engaging, on-brand copy tailored to each clientโ€™s voice and audience, from B2B thought leadership to local-service promotions, adapting tone and format to each platform.


โ€ขย ย ย ย ย Community Management & Engagement: For clients whose service plans include community management, monitor and respond to comments, messages, and mentions in each clientโ€™s brand voice, fostering engaged communities and routing inquiries to the right internal contact.


โ€ขย ย ย ย ย Collaboration & Coordination: Work closely with account managers, designers, and leadership โ€” coordinating projects and files in Basecamp โ€” to incorporate promotions, campaigns, and client-specific priorities, and to repurpose blog, SEO, and other content into social where it adds value.


Qualifications:

โ€ขย ย ย ย ย Must physically reside in the United States โ€” Digital Rx hires U.S.-based candidates only, nationwide (non-negotiable).

โ€ขย ย ย ย ย 3+ years of experience in social media management, with hands-on paid social experience; agency or multi-account experience strongly preferred.

โ€ขย ย ย ย ย Hands-on expertise building graphics and short-form video with tools such as CapCut, Canva, and Adobe Creative Suite โ€” this role is expected to self-produce a high share of content.

โ€ขย ย ย ย ย Demonstrated ability to set up third-party audience targeting, manage paid social ad budgets, and optimize campaigns to a goal.

โ€ขย ย ย ย ย Ability to help generate and interpret reporting analytics, turning performance data into clear recommendations.

โ€ขย ย ย ย ย Experience managing posting and scheduling through Buffer or a comparable social media management platform.

โ€ขย ย ย ย ย B2B/manufacturer, local-service, or multi-vertical experience is a strong plus, along with fluency in creating LinkedIn-forward, thought-leadership content.

โ€ขย ย ย ย ย Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills with an adaptable voice across very different client brands.

โ€ขย ย ย ย ย Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple client calendars and priorities independently in a remote setting.

โ€ขย ย ย ย ย A strong instinct for what makes a post perform โ€” trend- and hashtag-aware, mobile-first, with authentic copy that never reads as generic or templated.

โ€ขย ย ย ย ย A proactive attitude, creative thinking, and a genuine passion for digital marketing.


Compensation:

$40 โ€“ $52 per hour, commensurate with experience.
