About the Role
The Senior Manager, Human Resources is a strategic leadership position responsible for overseeing all Human Resources functions across the firm. Reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer (COO), this role leads talent acquisition, organizational development, HR operations, compliance, performance management, and workforce planning while partnering with firm leadership to build and retain a high-performing, diverse workforce.
The ideal candidate is an experienced HR leader with law firm experience, strong employment law expertise, and a proven track record of building scalable HR programs that support organizational growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the firm's overall Human Resources strategy and operations.
- Direct the full-cycle talent acquisition process across all departments and leadership levels.
- Partner with executive leadership on workforce planning, organizational design, and succession planning.
- Develop and implement recruiting strategies while managing external recruiting partners.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) regulations.
- Oversee HR policies, employee handbook updates, and organizational compliance initiatives.
- Maintain audit-ready HR records and ensure HR data integrity.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the Human Resources team.
- Manage performance review cycles, compensation planning, and employee development programs.
- Support Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) initiatives across the organization.
- Present HR metrics, dashboards, and workforce analytics to executive leadership.
- Oversee HR operations, including benefits administration, HRIS management, and HR data governance.
- Collaborate with Payroll, Finance, IT, and Operations to ensure seamless HR processes.
- Support firmwide career development and employee engagement initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive Human Resources experience.
- At least 3 years of senior Human Resources leadership experience.
- Previous law firm Human Resources experience required.
- Deep knowledge of employment law, compliance, employee relations, and talent acquisition.
- Experience leading HR teams and developing strategic HR initiatives.
- Strong analytical, communication, presentation, and leadership skills.
- High level of professionalism, discretion, and sound judgment.
- Proficiency with ADP Workforce Now.
