About the role
The position is at a tech company. As the Head of People, you'll have the opportunity to build and shape the People function that will help scale the company from approximately 130 to more than 300 Alchemists. You'll serve as a trusted advisor to leaders across the organization, guiding talent strategy, performance, leadership development, and team growth.
This role is instrumental in defining how our company develops exceptional managers, scales People programs, and remains a destination where world-class talent can do the best work of their careers.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the strategic People partner to the executive team, providing guidance on organizational design, leadership development, succession planning, and the company's most critical people decisions.
- Design, implement, and scale core People programs—including career frameworks, performance management, compensation, and onboarding—with structured processes and repeatable operating rhythms.
- Build, lead, and develop the People team by overseeing hiring, organizational structure, and team growth as our company continues to scale through its Series C stage.
- Own and enhance the manager experience by creating and delivering scalable manager training programs that equip every manager to effectively develop their teams from the moment they begin hiring.
- Champion and strengthen our culture as the organization grows, preserving the qualities that make the company unique while building the infrastructure needed for future expansion.
