Job Description
We are seeking a hands-on Network Engineer to support a large-scale migration from Cisco Meraki to Cisco Meraki Cloud Manage across a portfolio of hotel properties and select data centers. This is a configuration-heavy, project-driven engagement where you will provision and deploy new network infrastructure across multiple locations and coordinate closely with non-technical stakeholders to ensure migrations happen with minimal disruption and minimal downtime. You will also be ready to troubleshoot in real time as migrations unfold.
The team is a mix of senior engineers focused on project work and mid-level operational engineers; this role operates with a high degree of independence and a strong expectation of self-sufficiency. A growth mindset and willingness to learn on the fly are essential.
What You’ll Do
- Lead the configuration and provisioning of Cisco Meraki Cloud Managed network infrastructure across hotel properties and data center locations, migrating from existing Meraki environments with minimal downtime.
- Coordinate migration activities with non-technical stakeholders at property locations, communicating clearly and keeping all parties aligned throughout deployment.
- Troubleshoot network issues in real time during active migration windows, resolving problems quickly to protect uptime.
- Deploy new networks at property locations and support data center connectivity routes as needed.
- Follow and apply ITSM and ITIL-based change management processes when planning and executing network changes.
- Research, document, and maintain network configurations, policies, and technical standards.
- Operate with a high degree of independence; escalate thoughtfully and with awareness of senior engineer bandwidth.
- Participate in Cisco onboarding and workshopping sessions to deepen platform knowledge as the project evolves.
