Job Description

Our agency client is looking for a Print Production Designer in a long-term freelance capacity.

High-level details:
- Location: fully remote (if local to Minneapolis metro, can come onsite)
- Hours: 40 hours/week (may ramp up to 40 at the start of the contract)
- Duration: ongoing, long-term contract

Position Overview:
Our agency client is looking for a detail-obsessed, systems-minded Print Production Designer to support their retail client's in-store marketing program. This is the perfect role for someone who is 2-4+  years into their career, knows how to manage production workflows, and how to keep a massive volume of deliverables clean, consistent, and pixel-perfect.

You'll take established creative looks and build out full in-store systems, adapting designs across a wide range of shapes, sizes, formats, and fixtures. If you love precision, structure, and the satisfaction of getting every single detail right, this is your lane.

What You Will Do
- Build in-store systems: Extend established creative into full retail toolkits across multiple formats.
- Adapt designs across formats: Resize, reflow, and re-engineer layouts for different shapes, sizes, and store placements.
- Maintain brand consistency: Ensure every piece aligns with brand standards, templates, and visual guidelines.
- Execute production-ready files: Prep mechanicals, finalize specs, and ensure flawless handoff to print vendors.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams: Work closely with account, creative, and production partners to keep deliverables moving.
- Quality check everything: Catch inconsistencies, errors, and layout issues before they ever hit the store floor.

What You Bring:
- 2+ years of production design experience (agency or in-house retail strongly preferred).
- Proven ability to pick up an established look and extend it with accuracy and consistency.
- A sharp, almost obsessive eye for detail; you notice spacing, alignment, color shifts, and structural inconsistencies instantly.
- Experience working with high-volume, multi-format retail deliverables.
- Comfort working within systems, templates, and structured workflows.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, especially InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with internal teams.
- Experience with production tools (e.g., Smartsheet, Workfront, or similar) is a plus.

In this position, you may have access to client or customer systems, confidential and/or proprietary information or data.
