About The Role

We are seeking a talented and motivated Product Designer to join our dynamic team at BarnTools. In this high-ownership role, you will be instrumental in shaping the user experience across our key products, BarnTalk and Barn360. Reporting directly to the Head of Design, you will have the opportunity to take full ownership of the product design process—from initial research and user flows to visual design, prototyping, and collaborating closely with engineering and product teams to bring concepts to life. This role offers a fast-paced environment with a steep learning curve, ideal for someone eager to grow their scope rapidly and lead impactful projects. You will be responsible for creating intuitive, data-rich experiences that help users make informed decisions at a glance, ensuring consistency and quality across all touchpoints. The role also involves maintaining and evolving our design system to support scalable and cohesive product development. Qualifications

• 3–5 years of professional experience designing shipped digital products
• A strong portfolio demonstrating UX thinking and visual craftsmanship, including process documentation
• Proficiency in Figma, including working within shared component libraries
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently in a remote environment
• Experience collaborating directly with product managers and engineers
• Experience designing data-heavy products such as dashboards, analytics, or visualizations
• Experience owning or leading features or projects with minimal supervision
• Ability to translate complex or technical information into simple, scannable designs

Responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end product design process, including research, user flows, wireframes, prototypes, high-fidelity UI, and developer handoff
• Lead design projects independently from problem framing to final implementation within the initial months
• Create clear, engaging data experiences such as dashboards, alerts, and visualizations that support user decision-making
• Collaborate closely with product and engineering teams to scope work, iterate designs, and maintain high-quality user experiences
• Participate in and help evolve the company’s design system to ensure consistency and efficiency across products
• Engage in user research activities, usability testing, and feedback sessions to inform design decisions
• Stay updated on industry trends and incorporate best practices into product design
• Support the team in maintaining a user-centered design approach aligned with company goals
