Senior Mobile Game Developer (Solar2D - Corona SDK)

• Payout: $50 - $120/hour

Role Overview:

We are hiring for one of our clients, seeking a Mobile Game Developer (Solar2D – Corona SDK) to work on a contract basis. In this role, you will design, prototype, and build cross-platform mobile games using Solar2D with Lua scripting, helping to train next-generation AI systems with high-quality, real-world input. Your expertise in game development will shape how models learn, reason, and perform in the technology and gaming industry, making a significant impact on the development of frontier AI models.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, prototype, and build cross-platform mobile games using Solar2D with Lua scripting, ensuring seamless experiences across a wide variety of mobile devices.

• Implement core gameplay mechanics and game systems from concept to deployment, collaborating closely with designers, artists, and other developers to iterate and refine gameplay.

• Optimize game performance for seamless experiences across a wide variety of mobile devices, integrating monetization features such as in-app purchases and ad networks to ensure games are market-ready.

• Write clean, well-documented, and maintainable code, adhering to best practices in game development and contributing to the growth of a global network of experts.

• Collaborate closely with designers, artists, and other developers to iterate and refine gameplay, ensuring high-quality contributions to the development of frontier AI models.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Proficiency in Solar2D and Corona SDK, with experience in designing and building cross-platform mobile games using Lua scripting.

• Strong understanding of game development principles, including gameplay mechanics, game systems, and optimization techniques.

• Experience with integrating monetization features such as in-app purchases and ad networks, ensuring games are market-ready and compliant with industry standards.

• Excellent coding skills, with the ability to write clean, well-documented, and maintainable code, adhering to best practices in game development.

• Strong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work closely with designers, artists, and other developers to iterate and refine gameplay.
