Role: Kubernetes Platform Engineer

(100% Remote)

Type: 12 Months Contract

Note: CKA or CKS certification must have.

About the Role

We are looking for a hands-on Kubernetes Platform Engineer to support and scale enterprise Kubernetes environments across on-prem (K3s/RKE2) and cloud (GCP & AWS). This role focuses on cluster operations, networking (Cilium), platform reliability, and developer enablement.

Key Responsibilities

🔹 Kubernetes Operations

• Manage lifecycle of Kubernetes clusters (K3s, RKE2, GKE, EKS) – upgrades, scaling, patching
• Troubleshoot cluster issues (control plane, nodes, performance)

• Maintain cluster security (CIS benchmarks, RBAC, secrets)
• Manage etcd backups & disaster recovery
• Monitor and optimize multi-tenant workloads

🔹 Networking (Cilium CNI)

• Implement & manage Cilium CNI across environments
• Define and enforce network policies for secure workloads
• Troubleshoot networking issues (DNS, service discovery, connectivity)
• Support BGP peering & on-prem network integration
• Collaborate on firewall rules, VLANs, IPv6

Required Skills

• 6–8+ years of experience in platform / DevOps engineering
• Strong experience with on-prem Kubernetes (K3s, RKE2, bare-metal)
• Experience with GKE and/or EKS
• Strong Linux networking knowledge (TCP/IP, DNS, routing)
• Hands-on with Cilium CNI (or similar)

Preferred Skills

• Go programming (operators / platform tooling)
• CKA / CKS certification
• Experience with BGP, IPv6 networking
