Job Description

About the Company

Keystone Cement is now part of Titan America following the company’s acquisition of the Bath, Pennsylvania operation in 2026. The acquisition reflects a long-term commitment to the continued success and growth of the Keystone plant, while preserving its strong operational foundation and important role in the regional construction materials market. Employees joining Keystone today will have the opportunity to contribute to a business focused on safety, operational excellence, reliability, and continuous improvement.

About the Role

The Reliability Engineer will report directly to the Reliability Manager and will play a critical role in improving equipment reliability, reducing unplanned downtime, and supporting long-term asset health across cement plant operations. This role partners closely with Maintenance, Production, and Engineering teams to analyze equipment performance, identify failure trends, and implement proactive maintenance strategies. This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer with 2–5 years of industrial experience who is looking to build a long-term career in heavy manufacturing and plant operations. The position requires a strong field presence and operational partnership with plant leadership and maintenance teams. Candidates should be comfortable working in a dynamic, 24/7 manufacturing environment, including intermittent support across shifts, weekends, and planned outages as operational needs require.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze equipment failures, downtime trends, and maintenance data to identify root causes and corrective actions.
  • Lead or support Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA) and reliability improvement projects.
  • Develop and optimize preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
  • Monitor equipment condition through vibration analysis, thermography, oil analysis, and other predictive maintenance tools.
  • Partner with maintenance planners and supervisors to improve maintenance execution and asset lifecycle management.
  • Assist in development of spare parts strategies and critical equipment inventories.
  • Support shutdown planning and execution activities during major outages.
  • Utilize CMMS systems to track work orders, equipment history, and maintenance KPIs.
  • Identify opportunities to improve plant efficiency, reduce maintenance costs, and increase operational uptime.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, reliability, and productivity.
  • Collaborate with OEMs, contractors, and internal technical teams on equipment upgrades and troubleshooting.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related technical discipline.
  • 2–5 years of experience in reliability engineering, maintenance engineering, or heavy industrial operations.
  • Experience in cement, mining, aggregates, steel, power generation, pulp & paper, or other heavy manufacturing environments preferred.
  • Working knowledge of rotating equipment, hydraulics, pneumatics, conveyors, gearboxes, pumps, and industrial processing systems.
  • Familiarity with predictive maintenance technologies and reliability methodologies.
  • Experience using CMMS systems such as SAP, Maximo, or similar platforms preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and equipment documentation.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and data analysis tools.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced plant environment.

Required Skills

  • Exposure to vibration analysis or predictive maintenance programs.
  • Experience supporting large-scale industrial shutdowns or turnarounds.
  • Knowledge of reliability-centered maintenance (RCM) principles.
  • EIT certification or progression toward PE licensure is a plus.

Pay range and compensation package

Competitive compensation. Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision benefits. 401(k) with company match. Career growth opportunities within a large, publicly traded industrial organization. Exposure to complex industrial systems and major capital projects. Relocation assistance, where applicable. A collaborative culture focused on safety, development, and operational excellence.

Equal Opportunity Statement

This role is based within a heavy industrial cement manufacturing environment and will require regular field presence throughout the plant, including exposure to heat, dust, noise, and outdoor conditions. Appropriate PPE and safety protocols are required at all times.
