Along with our partner, we are seeking a highly technical AI Agent Engineer to design, build, deploy, and operationalize production-grade agentic AI systems across a rapidly growing behavioral health organization. This role is ideal for someone with deep hands-on experience building LLM-powered automation, multi-agent systems, retrieval pipelines, durable execution workflows, and production AI infrastructure.
You will work directly with operational departments to identify automation opportunities, architect AI-driven workflows, deploy production agents, and train teams to operate them successfully.
The successful candidate will own systems end-to-end — from workflow discovery and architecture design through deployment, observability, evaluation, security, and post-launch optimization. - Work directly with operational teams to identify automation opportunities and optimize workflows.
- Develop multi-step AI systems with tool usage, retrieval pipelines, integrations, and memory architectures.
- Build integrations with operational systems, communication platforms, and internal tools.
- Define evaluation frameworks, guardrails, observability, and monitoring standards for AI systems.
- Implement durable execution workflows, retry mechanisms, and fault-tolerant automation pipelines.
- Design and maintain reusable AI infrastructure, MCP servers, skills libraries, and internal tooling.
- Train non-technical teams on how to operate, monitor, and escalate issues with AI systems.
- Ensure HIPAA compliance, security, auditability, and responsible AI practices.
- Collaborate with leadership to identify future AI opportunities and platform improvements.
