THE ROLE

As Head of Engineering, you’ll lead a team of engineers and work closely with the VP of Tech to elevate engineering standards, processes, and architectural vision. You’ll coordinate projects, ensure best practices, and bridge the gap between engineering and data science, enabling the company to scale its groundbreaking products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and mentor a team of engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence and innovation.
  • Oversee the development and deployment of AI-driven data products.
  • Collaborate with client success teams to ensure solutions meet client needs.
  • Drive architectural decisions and design scalable, robust systems.
  • Implement best practices and standards to elevate engineering output.


SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

Must Have:

  • 7+ years in engineering with 2–3+ years in a management role.
  • Proven track record of managing and developing high-performing engineering
  • Strong technical background with the ability to design systems and guide architectural decisions.
  • Experience in a startup or scale-up environment, with a focus on product-driven companies.
  • Familiarity with AI/ML tooling and modern data platforms.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience in biotech, pharmaceuticals, or data-as-a-product companies.
  • Hands-on experience with LLMs, data pipelines, or AI chatbot integrations.
  • A passion for building scalable, secure, and high-performance systems.
