Finance, Strategy and Business Intelligence
- Continuing, full-time
- $89,663 to $98,556 per annum (HEO6) + 17% super

About the role
The Business Intelligence Developer works closely with stakeholders and the Business Intelligence & Analytics team to deliver trusted data and reporting solutions that support informed decision-making across UNE. The role builds and supports datasets, data models and reports, enabling self-service analytics through strong governance and documentation, and providing end-user guidance and training where needed.
You’ll help develop, test, deploy and support components of the enterprise reporting environment (data pipelines, data warehouse and semantic models) in line with agreed standards and security requirements. The role contributes to solution design and integrations, works with senior team members to manage key risks and architectural decisions, and supports delivery through agile ways of working, clear progress updates, documentation, and incident/change support.

About you
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Undergraduate qualification and experience delivering business intelligence and data solutions that meet real business needs
- Capability working with data and confidence using tools to prepare and transform data, with exposure to modelling approaches such as dimensional modelling and data vault. A strong focus on data quality, consistency, and good documentation habits.
- Experience using data platforms to validate, analyse and present data for reporting and decision support, experience with Microsoft Power BI and Fabric is well regarded.
- The ability to translate questions into clear requirements and explain outcomes in plain language to non-technical stakeholders
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage competing priorities
- A collaborative working style and a willingness to learn and contribute to new tools and ways of working
